Lisbless Awarded Outstanding Volunteer of 2014

An award has been presented by FOCHTA to student beneficiary Lisbless Kabathiwa for her selfless service to others over the past year. This award is given to students so that they may act as role models for their fellow students.

Lisbless, a Form 4 student, studies at the same boarding school as Alambeje Daniel. FOCHTA makes it a point to place in boarding schools those students who live far away from schools or those with physical disabilities. Alambeje must use a wheelchair, and requires someone to help her attend classes, go to the canteen, and manage her daily needs.

Lisbless has taken it upon herself to look after Alambeje on a virtually full-time basis. As good friends do, they spend time together during school holidays.

The award is a recognition by FOCHTA of Lisbless’s tireless work in helping a fellow student.

Lisbless would like to study nursing. FOCHTA wishes her all the best in her future.
