Dairy cows to provide income
Milk in Malawi fetches a good price, and as part of our income generating initiative there are plans to establish a small herd of dairy cows which will be kept on one of FOCHTA’s plots of land. Our Programme Officer, Charles Sokoso, who has gained a Diploma in Animal Health and Production will supervise the project. It is planned to start with five cows, and a small house is at present being built to house the cowherd.
