Brenda Jeremiah thanks FOCHTA at the 10-year anniversary celebration

Here are Brenda’s words of thanks to FOCHTA which are accepted with sincere gratitude:

‘My name is Brenda Jeremiah, a fourth year student at Kamazu College of Nursing. Am standing here as one of the FOCHTA beneficiaries. But I am not only its beneficiary, but have also benefited a lot from the association.

I was enrolled in 2006 while in Form 3. Since then, FOCHTA has been supporting me in so many ways, and not just in my financial upkeep.

All along, I have always dreamt of becoming a nurse. But I almost lost hope when my  family could no longer afford to pay for my school fees. Then thanks to God, FOCHTA came in and now I am in my final year of Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Midwifery. Really, it is a dream coming true.

There is a Chinese proverb which says that happiness is realized when one feels loved. My appreciation will never be complete if I don’t mention that FOCHTA has been my second home and family. They always make me feel loved and enhance the sense of belonging. All that make me a very happy person.

I would also like to acknowledge members of FOCHTA for their advice, counselling and encouragement over the years that have turned me into a disciplined and responsible woman today. They have also taught me about hardworking, never to give up and to stay in focused always. Thank you so much for making me who i am today. In return, when I have finished my studies, I like someday to help fellow students at FOCHTA who are following my footsteps.

It is my wish that when I have finished my studies, I like to help fellow girl students who are following my footsteps.’
