Vocational Skills

With an increasing number of young people unable to find work after completing their high school education, it has been our priority to help them to gain vocational skills.

Seven post-secondary students are now being trained in welding and tailoring. They were all Fochta beneficiaries through their secondary schooling and were identified by Grassroots Committee members as being young people who would benefit from this type of training.

When our new youth centre is completed in 2009, we will be conducting these courses, as well as metal working, in specially designed training workshops.
