Mrs Ntiya receives a cow

Mrs Ntiya is a widow who has three children of her own, and like many wonderfully warm hearted Malawians has adopted six extra children, all orphans. She manages to feed, house and educate them all, and has been an active and very loyal FOCHTA grassroots committee member since FOCHTA’s founding in 2003.

Mrs Ntiya and some of the children walked the cow home, a distance of some 20km. The cow was bought with an interest free loan from FOCHTA and Mrs Ntiya hopes to boost her income with the sale of milk.
