Mrs Hilda Ntiya’s work for FOCHTA
Mrs Hilda Ntiya, our Grassroots Committee’s Chairperson, has been very hands-on over the years running untiringly our Gogoz or Grandparents Programme. This is on top of her having to bring up four children of her own as well as adopting eleven orphans.
A daily feature of this group is to look after and distribute porridge each morning to up to 50 very young orphans. They sing, play games and then have breakfast. The maize for the porridge is grown in on land donated by local villagers and tended by them for this purpose. We are looking for funding to have a small playground built for the children using local materials that should cost around Aud$200. Please contact Claude Ho 0402757346 for further information.
