FOCHTA fund-raising dinner in Sydney raises $2720 for laptops
On February 5, 2011, 37 FOCHTA supporters in Sydney attended a small fund-raising dinner with the aim of acquiring laptops for our university student beneficiaries. This also coincided with the celebration of the Chinese Lunar New Year. A total of A$2720 was raised. In addition, three used laptops were donated on the night. Once again we greatly appreciate your continued support.
FOCHTA was very pleased on the night to welcome visiting development consultant Dr Lucy Steinitz from Namibia who gave a first-hand account of FOCHTA’s program activities after her visit to the FOCHTA office on three occasions in the past few years. Dr Steinitz and her husband Bernd also offered the support of one secondary student.
