Congratulations to FOCHTA beneficiary graduates as a Clinical Officer

A FOCHTA university student Funani Malata, aged 27, has recently completed his studies in Clinical Medicine at the Malamulo College of Nursing.

Funani is a second FOCHTA student beneficiary to have graduated with a Diploma in Clinical Medicine. The first beneficiary was Gift Bokosi.

In Malawi, a clinical officer is regarded as an assistant doctor. In fact in many hospitals, even large ones, there could be only one or two doctors but with a whole team of assistant doctors doing a multitude of tasks from disease diagnosis, counselling, and even performing some minor surgeries.

Funani lost both parents when he was young and has subsequently been raised by well wishers. FOCHTA started supporting Funani with fees for his secondary schooling and then to college.

Funani is at present waiting for job posting from the government. FOCHTA is proud to have a second graduate in Clinical Medicine.
