Community Development Course Starting at Our VTC
Ms Halima Mkandawire is joining FOCHTA and will be teaching the Community Development course, a six month long diploma that we are starting. The course modules include Understanding poverty in communities; Sociology and the community; Community health and disease management, and Vulnerability.
Halima graduated in 2015 with a Bachelor of Science (Sociology) and has experience as a field officer with Zomba Research and Development Department and as a social worker with Thyolo District Social Welfare Department.
Halima is married with a small daughter, and has been volunteering with FOCHTA as well as being a full time mother.
