A Major Milestone Attained By VTC

Recently, UK-based ABMA granted accreditation to FOCHTA’s VTC, recognizing it as an affiliated teaching centre for Information Technology and Community Development. Furthermore, students who are studying these courses in other institutions in the Thyolo and other districts may come to our centre to sit for external examinations that are issued by ABMA. This has come about after a visit by a representative from ABMA to check on compliance regarding our teaching quality, the general set-up of these courses and centre facilities.

From now on, teachers in our centre are certified to teach all the levels for IT and Community Development courses.

ABMA or, Association of Business Management Association is a reputable academic institution based in UK with the aim to provide qualifications in a number of sectors for learners looking to turn their career aspirations into job success. It is an awarding organization that is recognized by OFQUAL (Office of Qualifications & Examinations Regulation), a non-ministerial government department in the UK.

FOCHTA is extremely excited by achieving this milestone. As Emmanuel Phiri, the VTC’s IT Dept. head remarked: “ We have worked so hard imparting the best we can to our students, so this will certainly encourage us to do even better in future”.
