About UsFochta (Friends of Claude Ho in Thyolo Association) was co-founded by Claude Ho of Australia, and Dr Leopold Buhendwa and Mr Steven Labana, in Malawi, and was officially launched in 2003. Fochta's structure consists of a Board of Trustees, comprising the three co-founders, a Steering Committee of elected people respected in the community, and a Grassroots Committee, who live among and are actively involved with the people, young and old, in the district. During school vacations, students are employed in the office on a casual basis. Fochta is a member of an NGO network in Thyolo, which aims at respecting each others values in terms of work duplication and work compliment in the district. |
